Hockey Quilt

This unique hockey themed quilt was made by Marion.

Marion found this little hockey theme panel and some Winnipeg Jets fabric and some other bits of this and that to put together this fun quilt.

To go with the snowflake backing fabric Marion selected the Snow Winds pantograph.  I think the whole quilt just came together perfectly.

Batik Drunkard's Path

This batik beauty was made by Marion.  The two sizes of Crazy Curves/Drunkard's Path blocks add a lot of interest to the quilt top.

Marion chose the Feathered Garden pantograph and a copper colored shiny Magnifico thread for the quilting.

Blue and Yellow Scrap Buster

Karen dug into her scraps and made this wonderful blue and yellow quilt.  Scrap quilts are always fun for me when they are from someone I've quilted for a number of times.  I love looking at all the different prints and being reminded of quilts that have visited my studio previously.

Karen selected the Bora Boar pantograph and I love the flowing curls against the rectangle piecing.  Karen wasn't smitten with the original backing she brought along, and decided to replace it with the beautiful navy Stonehenge from my small collection of widebacks.

Isn't it amazing how wonderful these "scraps" look?

Over and Down Under

Karen brought this lovely little quilt made of sumptuous Woolies Flannels that she purchased as a kit.  The pattern is called Over and Down Under by Bonnie Sullivan of All Through the Night.

Karen wanted to pick a fun pantograph that we hadn't used on one of her quilts before and selected the "Beet" pantograph.

Karen found a perfect complimentary flannel to add to the back that really ties it all together.

Batik Washboard Road

This version of the Highway 10 Designs Washboard Road pattern was made by me for a wedding gift.  I had a Hoffman Bali Pop in the Cappuccino colorway that I had been saving and this seemed like the perfect opportunity to cut into it.

I found a Moda Grunge fabric for the background and a nice dark batik for the border to bring it all together.

For the quilting I used the Mimosa pantograph.  You get to see quite a few pictures of this one as my helper was available and the sun and wind were in my favour!

If you have a jelly roll or bali pop waiting for the perfect project, Washboard Road is available as a pdf download or in paper format on the Highway 10 Designs website.
