Bjorn Bear

Reneta used the blocks from Elizabeth Hartman's Bjorn Bear quilt pattern to build this sweet baby quilt.

Reneta chose the Lilac pantograph and I think it was a great choice with the pink background fabric.

Reneta found the perfect alphabet print in her stash that made a really cute backing.

Two for Madeline

I had the pleasure of quilting 2 lovely lap quilts for Madeline.  The first is called Topsail by Quilt Cakes.

Madeline selected the Gatsby pantograph that has a bit of a modern geometric feel.

The second one is called Agnes by Penelope Handmade.

The Wildflower pantograph complimented the fabric prints and was just the perfect choice.

Penguin Party

Leslie made this absolutely fabulous Penguin Party quilt.  The pattern is from Elizabeth Hartman and Leslie supersized this into a generous Queen Size by using 56 penguin blocks,

Leslie chose the Windswept pantograph that provides a nice even design that compliments the penguins without competing with them.

Leslie opted to have the binding added by my associate Marion, and the black frames it very nicely.

I am happy to have a high ceiling and a willing quilt holding husband to be able to get a full picture of this one!

Pivot

Amy made this beautiful nature inspired quilt for some friends.  The pattern is called Pivot from Modern Handcraft.

Amy used a wonderful mix of solids, wovens, linen and a print to build this quilt top.  She chose the Terrace pantograph to keep with the theme.

I love the rich green Northcott Canvas fabric that she put on the back.

Fancy Forest x 2

These are the 5th and 6th Fancy Forest quilts that I have quilted for Reneta.  She made a full sized one and then a series of baby quilts.   (If you type "Fancy Forest"  into the search bar on the side of this page you can see all the different variations.)

Reneta loves digging into her stash to find interesting fabrics for all of the different animals as you can see in both versions.  My freehand woodgrain quilting is always the choice, and I love doing it as I find it quite relaxing and I love the finished look.

Hunter Star

Anne brought this bold Hunter Star quilt.    She chose the Bora Bora pantograph, which offers a nice density of quilting and lets all her beautiful piecing shine.

I like the detail at the corners and the variation in the background fabrics throughout the quilt.

Lone Star

Susan made this pretty Lonestar quilt for her granddaughter, who chose the fabrics herself.   All the shades from the butterfly batik border were pulled out for the star and the background making a really cohesive and attractive quilt.

Susan chose the Windswept pantograph for a simple finish that lets the star shine.

Susan really did a great job putting this one together.  The center where all those seams converge laid flat and didn't require any extra attention from me.  Lone Star are notorious for needing a little extra longarmer love, but not this time!
