Joy brought this wonderful quilt that is made out of hockey and ringette jerseys. Joy was commissoned to make this quilt by the Ringette player and she wanted to include her partner's hockey jerseys as well.
Very simple quilting was the request for this quilt. A few options were considered, but after seeing me post a quilt with some freehand organic wavy lines, the request came in for that to be the final selection. It was a great option for me, as I got to work from the front of the machine and could see when I was approaching a thicker crest or heavy vinyl number.
The 1 HP motor on my machine handled the jerseys, batting and fireside backing with no issues at all. Joy otped to utilize Marion's binding service. The black and white stripe is reminiscent of a referee's unifrom and makes a great finish.
