Sparrows

Carolyne brought this lovely quilt that she was making for a friend.    The pattern is called Sparrows from Pen + Paper Patterns.

Carolyne knew exactly what pantograph she wanted when she came by to drop this off - Blooming Birds.    And her bird fabric on the back ties everything together just perfectly.

Hex is Gone

Bridy brought this pretty quilt that really brightened up a cold winter's day.  The pattern is called Hex Is Gone from Taren Studios.

Bridy used fabrics and coordinates from the Art Gallery Fabric Season of Tribute - Garden of Opulence Collection.  She selected the Blooming Birds pantograph and a vibrant peach thread that shines on the sold fabrics.

My favorite part of this quilt was the backing fabric!  Bridy treated herself to some luscious flannel from the Garden of Opulence collection in a print called Botanists Essay Two.  Worth the splurge I'd say!

Landslide

Madeline made this darling Landslide quilt.  It is a 3 yard quilt from the Fabric Cafe.

Madeline chose a new pantograph in my collection called Blooming Birds.  When this pantograph arrived I wasn't sure if I would ever use it because the scale was smaller than I expected and it seemed too busy for most quilts.  But, never say never as it was a perfect match for Madeline's quilt, adding interest to the large HST blocks and matching the floral print wonderfully.

I found a wonderful pink Magnifico thread for the top and the tension on my Innova allowed me to use a white thread on the back to compliment the white on white backing fabric Madeline used.
