Nothin' Like a Puffin and more from Reneta

Reneta brought a pile of small projects for me to enjoy.  First up is her version of the Nothin' Like A Puffin pattern from Art East.  I have quilted a lot of quilts for Reneta so I have a pretty good handle on her likes and dislikes, so I sent her one picture with the Windswept pantograph as my suggestion.  She agreed and I do think it was the perfect fit.

Reneta also made a cute set of Highway 10 Designs' Roundabout placemats.  The forest themed focus fabric called out for the Oak Breeze pantograph. 

Reneta has 3 grandchildren, so she made 3 versions of the Pink Picture Frame quilt by Wood Valley designs for them.

Frist up is this Buzz Lightyear one featuring the Galaxy Pantograph.

There are two princess quilts - a blue and a purple and both feature the Ginger Heart pantograph.

 

Two for Patrice

Patrice made this quilt for her nephew.  The low contrast  blue color palette makes for a lovely neutral quilt.

Patrice selected the Galaxy pantograph which added a lovely amount of texture.

Patrice selected a navy Stonehenge from my collection of wide backs to continue the theme on the back.

This second quilt will be a donation to one of Patrice's favorite charities.  The blocks might look familiar as a placemat pattern.  Patrice revamped this project part way through and made a lovely quilt instead of a set of placemats. 

Patrice chose the Terrace pantograph and a lovely beige Stonehenge wide back from my backing fabric collection.

My Crayon Box

Eileen made this "My Crayon Box" quilt for one of her great nephews.  She found the pattern in the September/October issue of Quiltmaker magazine.  It is also available to purchase on the Quilting Daily website here.

Eileen selected the Galaxy pantograph as it reminded her of the shapes a child would make doodling with a fresh crayon.  The hardest part for me was suggesting an appropriate thread color.  I tested a couple of variegated threads, but they were too overpowering so So Fine #504 - Silver Screen was the perfect subtle light grey than wasn't as bright as white and didn't take over.

Eileen used a lovely peppered cotton on the back.
