Turkish Delight

 

This queen size beauty was made by Karen.  The pattern is called Turkish Delight by Mabeth Oxenreider from the April 2000 issue of American Patchwork and Quilting.  

Karen dug into her stash for all the interesting fabrics, and found the most perfect border fabrics to frame it.

Karen selected the Pirouette pantograph, which I don't seem to stitch out too often, but it was a great fit for this top.

And a turquoise gingham backing that matches very nicely as well.

Town Square x 2

Mother and daughter, Liane and Shannon each brought a quilt made from the same pattern, but they couldn't be more different!  The pattern is a 3 yard quilt pattern called Town Square from The Fabric Cafe.

Liane loved the Time Warp pantograph to compliment her Northern Lights focus fabric.  We used a shiny purple thread for the quilting and Liane also asked for purple thread on the back.

This pretty pastel version was made by Shannon.  She selected the Pirouette pantograph which adds some lovely movement.

Isn't it fun seeing how much fabric choices change the overall look of a pattern?

Patchwork Swoon

This pretty is quilt was made by Reneta.  The pattern is called Patchwork Swoon by Thimble Blossoms and Reneta used a lot of Bonnie and Camille fabrics.

Reneta selected the Pirouette pantograph and I love how it looks on this one.  Do you see pinwheels?  Feathers?  Reneta is not a feather girl, so I was a bit surprised she selected this one, but I do think it is a perfect fit.

 

Hour Glass Wreath

I had the pleasure of quilting this fun and fruity quilt for Crystal. The pattern is called Hour Glass Wreath by Missouri Star and the fabric line is The Berry Best by Wilmington prints. 

Crystal was making this quilt for her mother-in-law that she hadn't been able to see for 18 months. When she found out that they would be able to have a visit this summer, she worked hard and enlisted my help to get this quilt over the finish line before the much awaited visit.

  

Crystal selected the Pirouette pantograph, and this was the first opportunity I had to stitch it out.  I love it even more than I thought that I would!

Crystal's mother-in-law is also a quilter, and was totally surprised and overjoyed to receive this lovely quilt.  Her expression says it all!
