Cat in the Hat

Tannis made this cheerful Dr. Suess quilt.  The free pattern was designed to be used with the Cat in the Hat fabric line from Robert Kaufman.

Tannis chose the Twister pantograph and I think is a very fun choice.  The bold red backing is a perfect fit.

I really love the border fabric on this one!

Entropy

Bridy brought this fantastic quilt that she made for her son.  The pattern is called Entropy by Squats and Running Stitches.

Bridy used a palette of her favorite PURE solids from Art Gallery fabrics.

Bridy chose the Twister pantograph and a light green thread for the quilting.  Bridy said after she left she was unsure that she chose the right pantograph, but absolutely loved it when she saw is finished.

R2D2 Quilt #2

This is the second R2D2 quilt I have quilted for Reneta.  This one is significantly smaller than the original one you can read about here.  It comes from a tutorial from the Bored Zombie.  This is a nice toddler sized quilt and to achieve this size Reneta cut 1.5" squares.

The is the original quilt with squares cut at 2.5"!

A new sized quilt needed a different quilting plan.  We decided a nice allover pattern was what this quilt needed, as custom quilting the 1" finished squares would have made for a stiffer quilt than desired.

Reneta chose the Twister pantograph. and I think the end result is fabulous.
