This Lone Star Sampler belongs to Donna. She said the original pattern had 9 blocks (with out sashing or borders) and she decided that was going to be much to large for her needs. She decided to revamp the layout, using only 4 blocks and added sashing and borders and came out with this lovely quilt.
We decided on the "Tickle" panto as the shapes were similar to her sashing fabric and it has a really nice overall texture.
Now, pour yourself a cup of coffee and head on over to check out the first day of Blogathon Canada. The hop starts on the west coast and today's hosts are:

With 9 blocks this quilt would have been huge. I am intrigued by the sashing fabric. Great job, Lori and Donna. Now I am off to do some Canadian blog hopping.
ReplyDeleteIt looks great. The panto choice was perfect.
