This quilt was made by Christine from a kit she purchased a number of years ago from a shop in Alaska. I have to say that is might be the nicest use of panels that I have ever seen.
We decided on my free hand wood grain design and I used a mid green coloured So Fine thread.
The interesting framing of the squares and the simple and yet effective border really make this a lovely quilt.
The panels are amazing, but the border is the winner with your woodgrain lines. Another stunning quilt, love those soft blues with the tans.
ReplyDeleteWas the wood grain quilting done on her sewing machine. It is a beautiful pattern. I wonder if the pattern is available for purchase. The quilt is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThe treasures we find in our stash and here is one beautiful quilt. So reminds me of the North!
