Christmas Irish Chain

Karen used her Christmas scraps to make this lovely Irish Chain quilt.  We used the Windswept pantograph and a shiny thread to add some subtle glitz.

Karen always has a way of adding something unexpected to her quilts, and it is often found on the back.  This time Karen used this fun panel on the back.  The rest of the backing is Cuddletex fabric.  While I wouldn't recommend mixing such different fabrics because of the difference in thickness, things turned out fine.  I had been concerned that the tension may have looked off going from the Cuddletex to the cotton panel, but luck was on my side and my tension looked good on both sections.
