Freehand Quilting Fun

I recently had some fun doing some freehand designs on two quilts that were made by a member of the Manitoba Prairie Quilters to be used in the charitable ABC quilt donation program.  I like to do a few donation quilts a year and try to make room in my schedule to accommodate them.

I haven't quilted one the topography design in awhile and thought is would look good on the quilt. I find this a very relaxing design to quilt.

The second top was almost identical to the first, but I decided to try out a new to me design that Angela Walters refers to as a "Hook Swirl".  I took a little bit of time to get the path settled in my brain, and hopefully it sticks so I can use it again in the future.
