Marion brought this fun quilt made with cute quilt and sewing machine themed panels and a fun layout. She originally was thinking of custom quilting. When I saw the fabrics , and wasn't sure how much of the quilting would actually show at the end of the day, I gave Marion another option to consider.
I suggested using an all over design, but with a very thin thread that would not detract from the panels that are the focus of the quilt. Marion went for this option and we used Superior's Microquilter thread in #7006 Champagne.
The Allium pantograph adds some texture, but the thinner thread recedes and lets the printed designs be the star, and this ends up being a much more budget friendly option.
