Puffin Baby Quilt

Reneta made the sweet personalized baby quilt for another special little one.  The puffin blocks are from the Art East Quilt Co. Nothin' Like A Puffin pattern.

The Fluffy clouds pantograph seemed like the perfect fit for this one.

Tilda Berry Wreath

This fabulous quilt was made by Muriel.   The pattern is the Berry Wreath quilt and is available free  on the Tilda's World Website.  The fabrics are from the Hibernation collection, and Muriel was able to purchase a kit from Needle Crafts and Studio in Beausejour, Manitoba.

Muriel did some great fussy cutting to capture as many full animal images as she could.

When Muriel first contacted me about this quilt she was considering custom quilting similar to the cover example on the pattern.  After seeing the business of the background fabric and the final use/home of the quilt we decided to try out some edge to edge options.  Muriel decided on the Oak Breeze pantograph which adds some really nice movement and compliments some of fabric motifs.

Muriel also added some coordinating Tilda fabric on the back of the quilt which ties everything together just perfectly.

Crazier Eigths

Mary made this lovely quilt with some fabrics that you just don't see everyday.   The William Morris fabrics are from the Morris Manor collection by Barbara Brackman. Mary used the Creative Grids Crazier Eights template set to create the blocks.

Mary selected the Wildflower pantograph which really has the right feel to match the pretty prints.

Woodland Baby Quilt

This sweet woodland baby quilt was made by Karen.  How cute are these little animals?

We decided that my Freehand Woodgrain quilting would be the perfect finish for this one.

I love the look and the cuddle back as well.

Two Scrappy Quilts From Wendy

Wendy brought two scrappy quilts that feature some great bold and bright fabrics from her stash.  The first is Wendy's take on the Mochi quilt pattern from Beyond the Reef.

We settled on the Good Vibrations pantograph which adds some movement but keeps things clean and modern with the quilting.

A cozy Fireside backing finished this off perfectly.

This second quilt is made entirely out of beautiful batik fabric.  The pattern is called Sonja's Windows.  I believe it was originally feature in a McCall's quilting magazine in 2009, but is now available on Etsy as a standalone pattern.

Wendy selected the Soho pantograph and a great shiny purple thread.  I absolutely love the Fireside backing.  Just my color!

Time to Quilt Sampler

Marion loves a sampler quilt.  She will be the first to tell you that.   This pattern was called Time to Quilt by Stephanie Prescott of A Quilter's Dream.

The interesting part of this one is that all the blocks are made from only two fabrics.  For every block pattern you made two blocks, but reversed the colours for the second one.

Marion left the quilting decision up to me, and I selected the Flirtatious pantograph with a lovely purple Magnifico thread in colour 2123 - February.

Forest Denizen

Wendy brought this one that she made for a young guy who loves his deer.  The pattern is called Forest Denizen from Pine Tree Country Quilt Company featuring fabrics from the Buck Wild Collection from QT Fabrics.

Wendy selected the Ombre pantograph which looks great on the front and the cozy Fireside backing.
