Cynthia brought this vintage top that was made by her great grandmother. She decided it was time to get it finished and enjoyed instead of hiding in the closet. It was my pleasure to work on this family treasure.
We decided on some light custom quilting. Continuous curves in the star diamonds and free flowing open feathers in the background.
I'm sure that the background fabric was flour sacks and it has a feeling that just can't be replicated.
Cynthia opted to have Marion bind her quilt using the same fabric she used on the back. This modern fabric complimented the vintage top very nicely.
