Scrappy Squares and more

Patrice brought this wonderfully scrappy quilt.  The squares are cut at 2" and I'm sure that although it is a lot of sewing, it didn't make a much of a dent in the scrap basket.

I love that Patrice used an interesting color for the background, as we often reach for white or cream when beginning a scrappy project.

Patrice chose the Calder pantograph which looks great on the front and coordinating backing.

Joanne had been in visiting Patrice and she made this lovely pastel batik quilt.

She selected the Gingersnap pantograph.  I love the small pieced strip that was added to the backing.  It adds visual interest and helped add the extra width that was required.
