Ann brought two lovely quilts. The fabrics used in these quilts were originally selected for a different project, but the intended recipient preferred purple, yellow and green so Ann pivoted with that project. These two quilts will be sent to Ann's daughter to be used on her living room couches. One person's loss in another person's gain!
The first quilt features a paper pieced star pattern from Carol Doak’s book 50 Fabulous Paper Pieced Stars called the Maryland Star.
Ann selected the Breath of the Gods pantograph and we ran it vertically to match the layout the quilt. A lovely Northcott Canvas Wide Flannel backing is the perfect cozy touch.
The second quilt is a block called the Eyes of March that Ann found on the Quilter's Cache website. Again this is a paper pieced pattern which Ann loves to do. She also added the wonderful square on point border for some extra interest.
Ann selected the Fascination pantograph which adds some nice movement across the quilt.
