Anne's Bargello & Log Cabin

I've been quilting for Ann for about 4 years now and over that time I have learned there are few kinds of quilts she loves - Bargellos, Log Cabins and paper piecing for accuracy. if you search "Ann" on the sidebar here, it will bring up of some of her past creations that are worth a second look.

The first quilt I'm sharing today is her lovely green bargello.  Ann chose the Cinnamon Swirl Pantograph for some nice movement against the straight lines of the bargello piecing.

Next up is the floral log cabin.  Lots and lots of thin strips in this one.  Ann always paper pieces her log cabins and the turn out extremely precise.

Ann choose the Feather Unfurled pantograph to continue with the floral theme.

Catch up Post #1

So... it appears that I haven't shared any quilts since April!  I have in fact been quilting, but spent a lot of time enjoying my summer as well.  So time to share some of the wonderful things that have travelled through my studio in the last 5 months.

First up is the lovely BQ4 quilt that Marion brought.  Her niece fell in love with the black print and had Marion make it into a quilt for her.  The BQ patterns from Maple Island quilts are a great way to show off a larger scale print.

We used the Dragon's Breath pantograph which complimented come of the motifs in the focus print.

Elaine made this sweet Layer Cake Links quilt.  The free pattern is available here from the Fat Quarter shop.   She selected the Pieces of My Heart pantograph for a lovely finish.

Jukipa brought this pretty quilt made from a collection of Tilda fabrics.

She selected the Feathered Garden pantograph  which was very fitting and looked pretty on the plain bakcing.

Jukipa also brought this cheerful jelly roll quilt and chose the Feather Unfurled pantograph for a sweet finish

Mary brought this rich quilt made from a collection of blue William Morris Fabrics.  I struggles to get good pictures of this one, but the wildflower pantograph was lovely addition with a green thread so it didn't fully disappear.

Amanda brought this fun Grinch quilt.  She chose the Quirky pantograph which i think is a fun addtion.

Donna's HST quilt

Donna put together this lovely quilt in a pretty turquoise palette for a neighbour who is going through some health challenges.

The bigger pieces and simple piecing makes for an effective an appealing quilt.  Donna chose the Feathers Unfurled pantograph for a pretty finish.

Mary's Five Yard Quilt

Mary made this lovely version of the 5 Yard Quilt Pattern.  The focus is the beautiful floral print from Rifle Paper company's Wildwood line - called Petite Garden Party in blue.

Mary made this pattern her own by slightly changing the colour placement in the blocks.  It is a small change but is very effective.

Mary close he Feather Unfurled pantograph and I love the delicate floral touch it added.

Carnival of Color

Audrey made this vibrant Carnival of Color quilt.  The pattern is a freebie from Free Spirit Fabrics and uses the bold fabrics of Kaffe Fassett.

Audrey selected a new pantograph from my collection called Feather Unfurled.  We used pink thread top and bottom to continue the vibrant feeling of this quilt.

The way Aurey fussy cut the fabrics for the on point squares really adds a lot to the final product.
