Temperature Quilt

This beauty is Amy's 2022 Temperature Quilt.  The pattern is available free from Canuck Quilter Designs.  All the different variations out there, this is my favorite Temperature quilt pattern and the color palette Amy selected is just wonderful.

Amy chose the Arrowful pantograph and I love how the movement of the pantograph compliments the movement in the piecing.

Each row in the quilt represents a month, with the daily high temperature and the daily low temperature being represented by the different colored squares.

Scrambled Eggs

Reneta made this adorable chicken quilt.  The pattern is called Scrambled Eggs and is by Art East Quilting Company.

The pattern cover shows a blue background which is lovely, but there is something about this straw coloured background Grunge fabric that just speaks to me.

Reneta chose the Popcorn pantograph which is an oldie but a goodie.  A straw coloured thread finished things off perfectly.

Landslide

Madeline made this darling Landslide quilt.  It is a 3 yard quilt from the Fabric Cafe.

Madeline chose a new pantograph in my collection called Blooming Birds.  When this pantograph arrived I wasn't sure if I would ever use it because the scale was smaller than I expected and it seemed too busy for most quilts.  But, never say never as it was a perfect match for Madeline's quilt, adding interest to the large HST blocks and matching the floral print wonderfully.

I found a wonderful pink Magnifico thread for the top and the tension on my Innova allowed me to use a white thread on the back to compliment the white on white backing fabric Madeline used.

Suburban Skies

Tannis made the striking quilt using an assortment of Tim Holtz fabrics.  The pattern is Suburban Skies from Abbey Lane Quilts.

Tannis chose the Hall of Mirros pantograph and I think it is just the perfect fit for the quilt.

Tannis told me the backing fabric was originally intended to the the background on the front but Tannis felt the print she liked would get lost so she opted to switch it out and use it on the back instead.

Indian Summer

Tannis brought the warm Indian Summer quilt.  The pattern is from Judy Niemeyer at Quiltworx and is a paper pieced pattern.

Tannis selected the Bora Bora pantograph and I selected a brown Magnifico thread for the quilting  The quilting always shows up so well on a solid backing fabric.

Metro Twist

This bright and cheerful quilt was made by Audrey.  The fabric collection is called Grand Canal and was designed by Kate Spain for Moda.

The pattern is called Metro Twist from Sew Kind of Wonderful.  Audrey selected the Cassava pantograph and we selected a muted green thread - So Fine 511 - Florentino which blended nicely across the navy and the prints.

I love the fun yellow backing and I used a matching yellow Bottom Line thread on the back.

Town Square x 2

Mother and daughter, Liane and Shannon each brought a quilt made from the same pattern, but they couldn't be more different!  The pattern is a 3 yard quilt pattern called Town Square from The Fabric Cafe.

Liane loved the Time Warp pantograph to compliment her Northern Lights focus fabric.  We used a shiny purple thread for the quilting and Liane also asked for purple thread on the back.

This pretty pastel version was made by Shannon.  She selected the Pirouette pantograph which adds some lovely movement.

Isn't it fun seeing how much fabric choices change the overall look of a pattern?
